Our Commitment to Student-Athletes
We support the nearly 800 Georgetown University student-athletes across 30 sports at the University, providing education, training and commercial opportunities. Those commercial opportunities arise via participation in Hoyas Rising sponsored events, our Membership Programs and with businesses.

What is NIL?
[Name, Image, And Likeness]
Student-athletes competing in NCAA intercollegiate athletics are permitted to receive compensation for the use of their name, image or likeness for commercial activities, including endorsements through traditional and social media, appearances, entrepreneurial activities, in-kind deals, autographs and more, in accordance with NCAA guidelines (including, among other things, prohibitions on improper recruiting inducements and pay-for-play), Georgetown University’s NIL policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
These NIL activities may include, but are not limited to, receiving compensation or other benefits for:
Commercials or other advertisements for products or services
Developing and owning a personal business
Participating in a camp or clinic that is promoted or branded with NIL
Autograph sessions for the public or privately arranged events
Providing lessons while using NIL
Sponsored social media posts
Hoyas Rising and Dreaming Out Loud Announce Partnership
Hoyas Rising today announced that it has launched a new partnership with Dreaming Out Loud Inc. (DOL), a DC-based nonprofit with a mission to create economic opportunities in low-income communities through the development of a healthy, equitable food system. As part of the partnership, Georgetown Men’s Basketball student-athletes will support and promote DOL events and activities.

Get Involved
Hoyas Rising supports Georgetown University student-athletes by raising funds through stand-alone donations, membership programs, and working directly with businesses interested in partnering with them through Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) activities.
Businesses
Businesses can contract with Georgetown University student-athletes for appearances, promotional opportunities, social media campaigns, autograph signings and other marketing activities. By affiliating with Georgetown University student-athletes companies can enhance their brand equity, increase sales and improve their standing in the community.
